High School Portrait – Under the Bridge?

I got a call from a woman who was inquiring about getting some portraits done of her son, and she didn’t want the “beach shoot with the background blurred out” because that just wasn’t her son.  She told me she wanted something edgier.  I ran a few ideas by her and when I mentioned graffiti, she said “that sounds great!”   So I drove to the spot I was thinking of and took a few snaps to show her the scene.  She liked it and we set a day and time.  Her boy is a young man just starting High School, and couldn’t have been nicer nor easier to work with.  At his age, I would have been stiff and nervous, not knowing what to do.  But this guy was different, and kudos to him mom for raising such a nice kid!
