USMC Christmas Party at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, CA

A family I’ve shot for on 2 different occasions have 2 Marines stationed at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, and it was in organizing a fairly large Christmas celebration that I got a call asking me if I’d come out and photograph the families at the party.  Are you kidding me?  Of course I will.

  • Christmas (my favorite holiday) Party
  • United States Marine Corps
  • I not only get to be around all these people who offer up their service to us, but I also get to photograph them
  • Done Deal

So I set up 2 lights against a Christmas scene backdrop, and offered family shots to everyone in attendance (I believe it was around 500).  I thought the photos came out great; everyone looking their best, having a great time, and like I rant about at times, documenting a slice of life – especially what the little ones look like.  I posted some images on my Facebook page back in December for the Marines to check out before the gallery was ready, but here are a few shots that I really like.

Thank you to Sgt. Jenna and all the men and women of the United States Marine Corps!

Of course Santa dropped in!

The food was incredibly tasty, by the way!
