Impromptu costume session last night. One child in jammies, the other still eating dinner, Moon coming up over the horizon. Grabbed my camera, one flash, one stand, one softbox and popped the little ones into their Halloween garb. Light was falling extremely fast. Went from dusk to really dark in about 10 minutes. Seems like the summer nighttime comes on slower, doesn’t it?
Since this was a last second, rush job, I was scurrying around gathering the necessary tools while issuing my plead to the kids: “Come on, guys, let’s get in our costumes.” To which they responded, “Is it Halloween?” I almost answered in the affirmative, but it felt too dirty. So I just let that one go…..
