San Diego Family Portrait Photography

So I guess this is just how the world works sometimes.  I was hiking around this park with my kids and found this great bench under a huge tree.  Got a few fun shots of them and we continued on our way.   A few weeks later I took this wonderful family out to the same area for a session, and we passed by the bench on our way and I thought we’d just grab a few quick frames using only natural light.  A few are below and I just like them.

But wait, that’s not much of a story now, is it?  Another week passes and I take yet another family into this park b/c there’s just so much scenery.  We were going to a completely different area for their session, but of course we were going to pass by what should be called…..”the bench.”  But I don’t think we’re going to be calling it “the bench” anymore.   Somehow a large section of the tree that canopies the bench with shade had broken off, and Park Services came out to chainsaw down basically the whole tree.   And so it is with sad fingers that I write to you now that the bench sits alone without any protection from the Sun.
