Spent a few hours in the afternoon with this little 2 year old wonder. When I go out to photograph people, I bring pretty much the same set-up every time…..just in case. My camera bag carries my camera, 3 speedlights and triggers, back-up batteries and memory cards and cleaning supplies and all kinds of other fun stuff like a cable release, some small light diffusers, grid spots, etc. My light kit bag is big enough for 2, sometimes 3 stands, and then I can cram inside a few light modifiers. Now depending on the shoot, I will decide what modifiers come and which ones stay. For this shoot, I brought a 60″ umbrella and probably my 28″ softbox and maybe something else. And a large reflector. Oh, and 2 sandbags for the stands.
Question is: “She’s 2 Bryan, what were you thinking?” I mean, I have little kids as well. 2 year olds do not stay still. So I dropped my light kit when I arrived, and I think it didn’t move for the next few hours. All of these were shot with either my 50mm or my 24mm, and all light was provided by the Sun. Such freedom to shoot with just the Sun…..
